Project LoGiK: What We're Doing & and What I need help with

LoGiK is a good example — solid chassis, clean body,  clean interior, great history —but there is still a list of jobs ahead before it's back to its best. I want, to prove that older cars are just as great and reliable as new ones.

Highlighting how we should be restoring them and becoming more sustainable. I would like to involve readers, enthusiasts, local garages, and specialists who might want to help, advise, or even sponsor / LoGiK.

This project is about the environment, teamwork, local and international community engagement, sustainability, learning, and keeping a modern classic alive!

Here's what's on the to-do list:

Engine- even though it had a full Mercedes service history, it could do with a health check and will need a service later this year.

Headlights and spot lights – need polishing and sealing to bring them back to life.

Black leather interior – needs revitalising / restoring to or, to near factory finish.

A full detailed valet, interior shampooing, exterior bodywork ceramic coating.

Air conditioning – requires a new compressor unit and service.

Bodywork – surface rusting arches need addressing, note this was an inherent problem with the latter of W163 that were manufactured.

Entertainment system – I was planning to replace the radio with a built-in COMAND satnav and hands-free system to keep the car stock. I found out that the satnav was outdated/  However, we are just using a Garmin unit (However, new or used ideas welcome!), mainly for a hands free telephone unit.

Underbody protection – the underside is immaculate, and we want to treat it with the best long-term product Wax oil, underseal (recommendations or supplies appreciated).

Rear black pillars – the lacquer is peeling- again another inherent problem so we're deciding between de-lacquering, re-lacquering or  wrapping after being sanded — open to advice or help.

• ULEZ: The car is ULEZ complaint. We are talking to a company that can possibly add on a further exhaust converter that will bring emissions down even further making LoGiK more green and sustainable

Wind deflectors: full set or just the front.

Rear solid  boot / plastic cargo unit, note we have removed the rear 2seats making it from a 7 seater to a 5 seater.

Exterior Tyre Holder on the boot lid.

Good performing tyres - current ones are Continental - a set of 5.

Alloy Wheel: We are after a full-sized inspiration alloy wheel, we have a space saver but need an original and full size alloy wheel.
